Sorry i couldn't resist, when i saw Alec and Brooke they both just yelled to be drawn as Deedlit and Pern.  If you don't know Deedlit the elf and Pern the knight are from an anime called Record of Lodoss War.  This is Reed Hawker's characters (Reed Hawker's site).
